Well, so far, DeLorean owners down here in Southern Mississippit seem to be pretty sparse. I did however hear about some guy who lives in Diamond Head, MS who has a car, but doesn't drive it because it doesn't regularly start. And how I found this out was by stopping buy a car dealer/garage/scrap yard when I found a Lotus Esprit for sale (I wanted to see if he was parting it out, in case I could find a good deal on a UN-1 transaxle). Since I know that some people on here are Esprit fans, or know others who are, I'll pass on the info: 1988 Lotus Esprit Turbo 32,000 Original Miles Katrina Flood Damage. Engine cranks, and I believe it runs as well Only body damage is a cracked spoiler. Otherwise, paint looks amazing Some interior damage due to water Needs some electrical work due to bad relays. Otherwise, electical sockets are clean No water in Engine oil, nor Trans oil Needs complete brake job Carpet in interior needs to be replaced, and seats too. But the trunk/boot never saw any water Other than the rusted rotors, the underside of the car looked really clean to me. The owner wants $7K for the car. Other than draining oil to check for damage, and cranking the engine, he's not touched the car. It has a salvage title (which he showed to me), and the original keys. He doesn't know what electrical motors do, and don't work on the car, because of the problems with the dead relays that he's not bothered to replace yet. If anyone wants to contact him, here's his info: Import Auto Sales Gulfport, MS. 228-617-4777 If I had the money, I'd buy it myself, but in the mean time, I promised I'd pass on the info to anyone that might be interested. -Robert vin 6585 "X" To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
