The struts usually run about $40 a piece for the doors. They are really not difficult to put on at all. Properly adjusted doors with new struts should not sag.although I guess it could happen a bit if it is really really cold. Perhaps the struts were NOS that have been laying around for a long time. I've bought struts in the past from two of the main vendors and had no problems. KermitP #4547.soon to be hip deep in seller's remorse. -----Original Message----- From: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of johntaylorny Sent: Tuesday, November 21, 2006 4:33 PM To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [DML] doors sagging after replaced struts The DMC we just bought had door struts that didn't work, doors closed completely. The car was at a Ford dealer who worked on it previously. He replaced the struts and we were quoted $200 for door/trunk struts + labor. They delivered the car the other day and the new struts are on. But the driver door sages 25% and the passenger door sags 50%. We were also charged $300 for the install for some bs reason they gave us after the fact. Is sagging normal or were we ripped off?
