I'd suggest talking to DMC-H about accepting your OEM mounting bracket in trade (partial or full) for a new 'DIN' style, can't hurt to ask. I doubt they have all that many OEM radio brackets left that they wouldn't want to do what they could to keep people from cutting them up. In reality, it isn't that big of a deal either way. $150 is not a high price IMHO for the ability to put the car back into factory- configuration for the next owner. Personally, I really like the OEM radio (ASI for me), it functions well and just seems to fit-in well with the interior.
