A couple of assumptions - that this is the teflon-core hose like the original, and we're still talking about the hoses that go to the fuel pump, I have sucessfully used both boiling motor oil (Synthetic is best!) and my trusty $9 Harbor Freight heat gun to get the hose softened enough to press on the barbs. If done correctly, no clamps are necessary (also like the original). Boiling oil is a PITA and at this point I use the heat gun. Boiling water or a hair dryer is not hot enough.
