I would not concentrate on the injectors. It sounds more like vacuum leaks and/or you do not have the spark plug wires on correctly or maybe you damaged them. You should go over all of your work fromthe time of the water pump, something you did (or did not do) caused this. You cannot test the injectors like you are trying to do.
