Based on the descriptions of what he has been involved in, I would say that he worked with the composite underbody, rather than the epoxy coating on the frame. The article mentions his affiliation with a ski manufacturer, in addition to the DeLorean mention. The initial goal of DeLorean was to create a monocoque underbody without the need for a full frame. He had wanted to use a technology that hadn't quite been invented yet - resin transfer molding. This is most likely what Mr. Chant was involved with. I would guess that hate mail would not be appropriate in this case.
