Our local Discount Tire store will mount anything (safe) that you bring in. You can even have Tire Rack drop ship the tires to the store so that you don't have to lug them over there. BTW, Discount Tire will also try to match Tire Rack's price, and in my experience they usually succeed or at least come so close that you don't even want to bother doing the mail order thing. I've brought in printouts from Tire Rack's web page and they have matched their price. They will check that the price is current by bringing up Tire Rack's web page, but then they will probably be able to match the price. Its surprising how competitve some of the brick and mortar stores can be when they want to be! And if you buy them from Discount Tire, they will give you free lifetime rotations. (I know this doesn't apply to D's but I mention it for reference.) -Joe Kuchan >From: Jack Singer <jack4545@xxxxxxxxx> >Subject: Re: [DML] Recommended Tires > >Okay, this may sound like a dumb question, however, before ordering from >Tirerack I called all of the local places that do tires and they will only >install the ones that they sold. I tried Firestone, Goodyear, Sams, >Costco, and just about every gas station in town.
