Hi Gang - I had an interesting experience today, spending the entire day with Winged1 on a chassis dyno. I can't tell you why, because of a non-disclosure agreement that I had to sign. If I told you, I'd have to ... well, you know. In any event, after a bit of troubleshooting and tuning, Winged1 turned out a consistent series of full power runs, making 110.1 horsepower at the rear wheels (5750 rpm), and 130.2 lb-ft of torque (3000 rpm). Of note, the shop was quite warm (around 90 degrees in the sun), and the full power runs ran the entire spectrum from redline to near idle. With the DPNW High Performance Fans and the three-row brass radiator, we didn't have even a slight tendency towards heating up. The temperature stayed rock-soild throughout the day. Got just a hint of detonation near the maximum torque part of the curve. The A/F readings showed a bit of a drop-off in fuel delivery right in there, with good ratio readings on either side of that point. The dyno technician felt that it was due to inherent limitations in the Bosch CIS. Thoughts? Just another day in paradise.
