There are in my mind two things preventing me. 1) The belt sander will generate an awful amount of heat and possibly create warping, blue spots, or oil-cans. 2) If one were to do it, the belt sander bed is to hard to conform to irregular surfaces. You would have to modify the belt sander. Possibly with a bed made from silicone sponge rubber coated with a teflon sheet. With successfully completing # 2 above you might have a chance.
