Darryl Tinnerset broke his.. He had a supercharged Chevy engine. You can check the archives of the DML to read about it, but it inspired him to have a custom made input-shaft coupler which I think Toby may still own the drawings of. Kyle claims to have broken his, he has a Chevy small block conversion. I am running a Porsche 915 trans, so I hope I don't have to worry about trans problems. FWIW, I think Dave was using the 200HP number as to what the transmission can RELIABLY handle considering if you were dealing with factory warranty issues. If we accept as fact (and I can't say it is) that they break at 300HP, then for design purposes you would want to keep a good margin below the maximum. Considering the Island TT kit was meant to be used on automatic and manual transmissions, 200 is a good target number.
