Depending upon the literature you read, the vote seems to be split on if adding Freeze12 to an R12 system causes problems. The manufacturer of Freeze 12 says that mixing it with R12 is fine and causes no problems. I've talked to guys who have mixed the two with no visible problems (and they have been running the mixture for over 2 years). However, the manufacturer also says that mixing refrigerant is a bad idea because if you have to service the AC there are very few places that will be willing to evacuate your system if there is mixed refrigerant. Therefore, the best idea is to get your current system emptied and then charged with Freeze 12. Some will say it performs better than R134A. I've got it in my DeLorean's AC system at the moment, but the compressor is being a little quirky so I can't say for certain if it's better. What I can say is that when the system DOES work, the air being dumped out gets colder faster than the R134A in my primary car, but at the moment it seems to get only a little colder than the R134A. -Kevin VIN 2234 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
