True unless the system is low on Freon - then the low-pressure switch will not allow the compressor, and therefore the fans via the diode, to engage. In my experience the otterstat itself is very fragile in terms of being overheated. I've watched them die in the process of being overheated. Sometimes they short, usually they open. If the fans come on the only thing left in the circuit to check is the otterstat itself and wiring between the otterstat and fan relay. The horn is a separate issue. > > Ron To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
