Vins 12171-12180 are all right handers converted by Wooler Hodec - possibly more. I have worked on 12171, and I know about 12179 .Three factory right-handers exist that are not in this range and are later cars. 5565 is the proper european protoype with a high compression euro spec engine and free-flow exhaust. Its doors have an 82 build date written under the headliner. I worked on that one after its emergence from a museum in late 2004 http://www.dmcvins.com/12000-12999.htm (is the only one posted so far) Martin Dan wrote: >--- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "Michael Fischer" > > >James Espey mentioned something on DMC Help about the 12XXX series >cars being (the few I assume) converted to right hand drive, then >re-VINed so they could be sold.
