My D starts fine, even cold. Then a few minutes later, it farts, stumbles and backfires, with a hollow muffler sound and an extreme loss of power. In about a minute, it's all over, and I can roar off. Not a problem when it was just driven a short time before. Any thoughts on this infernal flatulence?>> Hi Josh- Got the answer to this, at least in my case. I knew it wasn't a warm up regulator I needed, since I already replaced it last winter. Although a loose vac hose can nullify the benefit of it. After talking twice to PJ Grady's, I took the cover off the RPM relay in the electrical compartment, buffed the relay electrical contacts with an emery board, and the problem disappeared. (I ordered a new RPM relay as a precaution.) You don't get service- or answers-like that at your corner gas station or AutoZone. Wayne A.
