Just in case anyone is interested...

This car is in my VIN research project that was in my now-defunct computer, one of the few VINs that was rescued from the hard drive.

The reason the body appears so odd is probably because the car had been painted red. 

It was titled in 1989 in Massachusetts as a red/black vehicle, meaning a primary color of red with black accents (such as the fascias, judging by the auction photos).

It has 22991 miles when purchased from an owner in Florida in 1988.

That's the best I can do, wish I could tell you all more...
