Ed - I concur with Stephane - It is definitely an alignment shim from the trailing arm attachment. You will find one of your trailing arm bolts (TAB's) loose and/or bent. As indicated, this should be attended to immediately. You had sent a private email regarding this situation, so this reply is really for the benefit of others on the DML. Trailing arm bolts continue to be an issue in some percentage of the fleet, as long as original bolts are still installed.
