Since it eventually did start I am going to guess that you don't have any "bad" parts like a fuel pump or ignition coil. I believe your problem will turn out to be a bad connection in either the fuel system or the electrical system. Hard to be able to narrow it down. Next time it won't start you have to see if you have spark. Then at least you will know which system to go through. I would also go over all the recent work to make sure it was done correctly assuming you did not have this problem before doing this recent work.
