It's highly variable and depends on the car. If you buy a cheap one that hasn't been driven, it will probably be a maintenance nightmare. If you buy one that has most of it's parts replaced and has been driven at least semi-regularly, you'll be fine. They are every bit as reliable as any other car, the problem lies with them being 25 years old. 25 year old parts tend to rot and break. I drive my DeLorean every day and don't have problems (to speak of; there have been issues, but nothing you wouldn't find on any other car). Then again, I've replaced a majority of the parts in most of the car's systems. -Ryan On 5/11/06, rangerblair <rangerblair@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > I am looking at getting a Delorean as a second car for everyday use > and was wondering how much of a maintance hassle they tend to be? > thanks > sean > To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
