Drove the car yesterday to and from an AZ-D tech event. No transmission problems. Parked it in the garage as usual when I got home. After shutting off the engine, I placed the car into 1st gear, released the e-brake, got out and went on with my day. This morning got up at the crack of dawn to wash the D. Went to place the transmission in neutral to start it. I engaged the clutch, but the gear shift would not come out of first. Tried several times, but no luck. I started the car with the clutch engaged. The car did not lurch forward, so the clutch is disengaging the tranny when the pedal is depressed. I drove the car forward about a foot (as far as I could go forward inside) to see it that would unstick the shifter. It did not. What am I up against here? Any ideas? Dan W.
