Just to mention that on the manual transmission THERE ARE NO SEALING WASHERS ON THE DRAIN PLUGS. The manual transmission uses tapered pipe plugs for the level and the drain. The more common sources of leakage are the sealing between the case halves and the output seals. Make sure that they are not the source of the leakage. Clean the case thouroughly and watch for leaks. Always look from above and forward because leakage tends to flow downward and towards the rear of the car. It is very likely any leakage will eventually wind up dripping off the drain plug and make it look like that is the source. Overfilling can also cause leakage. The automatic transmission uses copper sealing washers on the level and drain plugs and it has 3. One level plug for the final drive, one drain for the final drive and one drain on the pan for the trans fluid. There are several other plugs on the converter case but normally they are not touched.
