If you try to glue it back on you have to get a "kit" that includes primer. Most large auto supply stores will have it. Alternatively clean the area well with alcohol and get the special piece of double-stick tape either from an auto glass shop or a Delorean vendor. Ordinary double-stick tape doesn't work.
