Historical reasons for the bumper height aside, I guess my question as a fairly new owner (less than a year) is what lowering the stock high nose with the various kits available might do to the legal and/or safe operation of the vehicle, including headlight angles, collision handling and how such modifications might affect insurance coverage. If this has been previously covered, a reference would be appreciated.
