Master cylinder. After pumping the brake pedal once or twice, the rpoblem is gone for that braking event; however, the problem returns after going a few seconds between braking times. The fluid level has not dropped in the master reservoir and there are no apparent leaks. It feels like air in the system but I cannot imagine how this would have occurred since I very thoroughly bled the brakes over 1.5 years ago (and re-did all the cylinders, hoses, etc.) Your thoughts on the cause would be greatly appreciated.
