On my first D (6530), I had a rear wing installed. And, yes, it sat just a tad lower than the wing on Ron Wester's Screaming Yellow Zonker. It came from a mid/late 80's Pontiac Firebird. Fit beautifully with no mods. Do keep in mind that a wing adds a bunch of weight to the rear louvers and you will need either extra strong lifts and/or a "locking" device so that the louver will not fall on you while working on the engine. I used a small "u clamp with a wing screw" that clamped to the piston of the lift and thus held up the louvers.
