I expected to have the same reaction that Bob did after watching this program, but I couldn't have been much happier with it. I thought this one was refreshing, and I have a feeling that I owe that to the many DeLorean enthusiasts who helped with the show (particularly Steve Wynne, James Espey, Tamir Ardon, and Rob Lamrock). How many of us celebrated when they mentioned the side clearance required for the gullwings, or the fact that John never went to jail?? I sure did. They didn't spend much time ripping on the car, which I also appreciated. The main point was just that DMC stopped selling enough of them, which is true. The shots at John weren't completely derogatory, and left some room for speculation -- including some suspicions that many of us have. They spent a lot of time praising his good attributes and Tamir intelligently backed them up. I also thought the representation of the group (us) was one that I am happy to be associated with. They didn't represent us as "nerdy" at all, in my opinion. They simply showed that there are people who still love this car. At most, Sasha's comments were a little "enthusiastic" -but that's what being an enthusiast is all about... They did say that the doors would "fall" on people, which is bogus of course, and probably was confused with the old "lock in" stories or maybe cold weather symptoms. But if all they get wrong is that (and misspelling James' last name) I'm a happy camper. Congrats on the good coverage everyone.
