Sounds like your fuel accumulator is dying. Simply taken from when you say you park it at a friends house, and a short while later it starts, but runs crappy for a while, then once it gets going, everything is fine. The incline at your friends house isn't the problem, just fuel pressure leakage dur to the bad accumulator. Have you replaced the original accumulator yet?
