Don't buy this car. You don't make enough money. > > Now that is just plain harsh. I myself make around $30k a year as well. Deloreans are exotic, yes. But expensive, no. Well, not compared to a lotus or ferrari or the like anyway. I'm in probably about the same situation as the originator of this thread. When I bought my D for $8k, I pretty much knew what I was getting myself into on it. I knew I wouldn't be able to drive the car any time soon. I knew i'd be paying at minimum an amount equal to the purchase price for parts to get the car back in great shape, and I knew it would take me quite a long time to finish the restoration. Saying someone can't afford a delorean just because they aren't rich enough is just mean. You can own one on a $30k/yr salary. Either you can buy a cheap one, and fix it yourself knowing you'll have about $20k in it when your done, or you can get a loan and buy one in good shape to begin with and just make payments on it like you would with any other car. -- Chris VIN# 3209 http://badger.brazi.net/index.pl/delorean To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
