Last night while I was at Ken Koncelik's warehouse getting help repairing my cracked center rib section in my louvres, I noticed how another owner's car had a different style of louvres completely. The VIN was a 13xx series, and looking at the louvres from the back, the center section was very thin. On my louvres, and on all of the louvres I have seen, the center section has about a 1 inch wide "t" section branching out from the thin center section (for extra support I suppose). Does anyone know when they switched louvre styles? It must be a vin between 1300 and 1880, unless my louvres were replaced with later style louvres at one point. I assume they changed to the beefier center section due to cracking on the earlier louvres? If I had pictures I would post them to explain better what I am trying to say above, but hopefully it isn't too confusing. -Patrick C.
