Only if fuel runs uphill. The pickup and the return are both at the bottom of the tank. The accumulator is at least 3-4 inches above the level of the bottom of the tank, maybe more. You could get a siphon action going but it would be pretty easy to choke off. I've never had any issue with that changing an accumulator though.
