Mike,

Don't leave the delorean out in the sun.  Keep it in a
garage and you should be fine.  Cracked dashboards are
a result of the sun and UV rays making the DeLorean
interior os hot that the dash literally bakes, some
dashes are very bad (multiple large cracks with dask
brown color).
