Cecil, If you are referring to the SS door VIN plates, yes, you are correct that there are quite a few of these blanks floating around. However, this VIN tag discussion was focusing on the early SS dash plates, with a DMC logo and the factory details printed on the plate, with an outlined location for the VIN. These appear to be used on less than 90 early 500 series cars.
