Hi Jim If I remember correctly, you drive on the left in S Africa? Even if not, it sounds like your headlights have been replaced with H4 units and the plugs have not been re-wired to account for this. It's as simple as popping the pins out of the outer lights and rotating them so that in the car's perspective, black is to the left, red/blue is on top*, and white/blue is on the right. * the original lights have the centre pin at the bottom. Window regulators are notorious and strengthened replacements are easy to buy - but can be a pain to fit!
