Sounds like either your cap is not on firmly or needs to be replaced. Pressure is escaping from your coolant bottle causing your anti-freeze to come out of the overflow tube. I had the same problem with my "D" and ordered a cap from DMC Houston and corrected the problem. It was a quick $5 fix. For your question before this--I believe the DeLorean holds around 2.9 gallons of coolant, but make sure you mix distilled water (not tap) and coolant 50/50. Your owners manual, if you have one, will mention this.
