Having transported my Delorean once in the last couple of months, I found that it fit nicely on the car carrier that you can completely put the car off the ground, and on top of the trailer. It is a little more pricy to rent than the tow dolly, but since you cannot hook the front wheels up to the tow dolly, as the car is rwd, you would have to back it on. I am not entirely sure how to keep the wheels straight if you do. My advice would be to either drive the car, or get completely on a trailer. There was a few posts about this a few weeks ago (Early october I think) --- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "John Macias" <jdm5@xxxx> wrote: > > U-Haul has some good information on loading our cars onto their Auto- > Transport.. > http://www.uhaul.com/towing/special_loading.html > > John > #7009 > > -- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "Videobob Moseley" <videobob@xxxx> > wrote: > > > > Also, if you DO decide to rent a tow dolly, do NOT tell them it is > for a > > "DeLorean", they will not rent it to you because they will tell you > the car > > won't fit on it right - and they are correct. > > Tell them it is a Honda Accord or something. > > Of course, you won't be covered if there is an accident. > > Tow dollys are risky. > > If you have the pulling power use a flatbed, or heck...drive the > thing is > > you can. > > - VB > > > > > > >From: "David Teitelbaum" <jtrealty@xxxx> > > >Reply-To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > > >To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > > >Subject: [DML] Re: DeLoreans and Tow dollys > > >Date: Mon, 21 Nov 2005 22:35:59 -0000 > > > > > >I have and have used a tow dolly.
