Once you take the tie rod ends off and put the boots on that shaft-the hard part is installing the end part of the boot onto the housing itself where the clamp goes. The drivers side wasn't too bad, but the passenger side took me a long time. There is nothing in the way, it is just tough because the boot opening is smaller then the housing for a better/tighter fit-so trying to get them on with the rack installed is hard due to the limited space you have to work the boot on.
