Just so you know, new five-speeds are $2924.25 from us, FOB Houston. Sounds like you might have a broken roll pin in the second gear fork. It's a common problem, not easy to fix, but easy enough for a pro or handy amateur who knows where to go. I think my delorean is having this problem (among every other issue possible). I called AAMCO transmission for an estimate and they claimed it could run upwards of $3200. The low end was $2200! Anyone have any extra explanation on this matter? Is a total replacement cheaper?
