John, I'm not sure if that response was really meant for me or not...I'm not installing the kit. My parking lights come on without the key in. But just for discussion, my #18 fuse is simply a "spare" as the top of the fuse says. On other cars this is where the brake lights are fused, but on mine my brakelights have an in-line fuse holder with a brown wire going in one end, and a green going out the other end.
