Todd, Check out www.drypak.com for your dessicant, but if you use one someone will have to dry it out occasionally. Also DO NOT PUT MOTHBALLS in the car. I'm not sure if I will ever get the smell out of mine. It has gone down some, but wow, you can still smell it from 20 feet away. Don't fill the tank, just put some dry gas/fuel stabilzer in run it to get the stabilizer distributed, disconnect the battery, close it and cover it. If you think it could be longer you may want to consider putting it up on jackstands, to unload the suspension. I'm planning on filling up the gas tank to reduce condensation buildup, removing the battery, parking on a tarp to keep moisture off the underbody, covering the car with a breathable car cover, and heavily using good leather conditioner on the leather areas of the seats. I would also like to place a desiccant inside to reduce moisture, but am not sure where to find one, any ideas? Also note the car will be in a garage the entire time. Does this sound like enough preparation? Also, is there anything I should know about firing the car up when I get back? Other than squirting some oil in the cylinders. > > Thanks, > Todd Nelson > 1561, Vermont > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
