I am a firm believer that when preparing a car for storage it should be prepared for LONG-TERM storage. I see all the time a car put into "short-term" storage to be forgotten and left for years. Pull the fuel out and remove the batttery. Cover it and if possible jack it up onto jackstands. Place some mothballs under the car, clean it, take out anything that doesn't belong, and keeo insurance on it. I'm planning on filling up the gas tank to reduce condensation buildup, removing the battery, parking on a tarp to keep moisture off the underbody, covering the car with a breathable car c To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
