Even though I am new to my Delorean like you, I'll give it a shot. The hot start issue is a common problem. The most common cause is fuel not being delivered to the engine and the usual suspects are the fuel accumulator/fuel system and bad grounding on electrical system. Bad electrical ground is an easy fix and shouldn't take you more than two hours to fix with sand paper and dielectric grease. Remove rusted or corroded components (bolts and washers), inspect, use sand paper to polish and remove rust, put everything back together, and coat liberally with dielectric grease or something similar. It'll remove one of the possible culprits for the hot start problem. As for fuel accumulator, I'm sure other D owners will give you some pointers. Good luck.
