You can't use speakers with inner cones that project above the frame. Call Crutchfield and they can help you select the correct speaker. What I used is no longer available, anyway they come out with new and better models all the time. Don't overspend on the front speakers, it won't improve the sound all that much. If you really have to spend save it for the rear speakers and an amplifier. You can only get so much out of a 3 1/2" speaker! Anything you replace the origional speakers with will be a big improvement. The origionals I pulled out were stiff and the cones were in tatters. It was amazing they put out any sound at all!
