David, Your correct, but it also goes the less you drive the car the less chances you will have of having a wreck. If the connections are tightened as normally you would and the o ring is in place yea in 25 + years it might leak, but until then you have a bent frame and possibility broken or scraped the epoxy off the top of the bolts to start rusting. You may also be going back with a 25+ year old hose that will blow.
