Bob - Very early in my DeLorean experience, I developed a very similar sounding leak ... while traveling through Deerlodge, Montana on a Sunday afternoon. We had to drive straight through back to Seattle while dripping gas the whole time. The leak turned out to be a split in a flared end on the hard fuel line that goes from the accumulator to the filter. I simply had a high-pressure fuel hose made locally, and bypassed the cracked line. I had no interest in lifting the body from the frame to replace the line. If your leak is coming from the accumulator area, there really is no choice but to perform surgery through that small opening. Good luck!
