Thanks to all for your advice, I think I acutally figured out the problem today, the shape of the tank and position of the sending unit don't like hills, even small ones ones like my driveway. Based on what everyone said about the capacity of the tank, I had about 3 gallons left. So the small slope up my driveway caused all of the gas (petrol for our non US readers), to run to the back of the tank. But based on what everyone is telling me I am going to replace the fuel sending unit. Now the next question is, is tankzilla even available? Or even fanzilla? I just have the jumper fix installed.
