Interesting view point, "me". The response that I usually offer to people who offer the same type of commentary as the aforementioned DJ is that this has not been my experience in over 17 years of continuous DeLorean ownership. I have, on many occassions, hopped into Winged1 and driven to the far side of Montana from Seattle without a moments hesitation or doubt. I have also driven to central Oregon, and well up into British Columbia. Winged1 has only stranded me once in 80,000 miles of enjoyable driving, and that was about 5 miles from home. That turned out to be a relatively minor electrical issue that was easily resolved once I had her home in my shop. In short, I do not *at all* relate to what you are saying about the DeLorean automobile. If these cars are driven regularly, and maintained in a manner suitable to a semi-exotic car, you can get wonderful reliability and performance out of them. Ask a Ferrari 308 owner if he would hop in and go for a 1200 mile drive without any major preparation, and he'll look at you like you're on drugs. If you don't take care of them, they won't take care of you. It's just that simple.
