I wasn't going to post on this but what the heck First of all DCS is here to stay as is the magazine I don't start things and not finish it. It is true I am looking for people to help, share or take over the event as this is getting big for one person to handle. (don't worry even if we get 1000 people I will still make it happen) At the same time it will not go to anyone else unless the items we set out to achieve are maintained 1. The show is open to ALL DeLorean owners 2. The show caters to all segments of the car from daily drivers to concours to BTTF and everything else. 3. We have fun. 4. And of course we are on faded ashpalt LOL One cool idea was for me to do a DCS east and Ken M do a DCS west Or to get some of the clubs into it like the Arizona group or the Mid Atlantic Group. So far none of these have gotten past the discussion stage. I even offered to share the event with the DOA and let them sponsor an evening or two (at no charge) Offer still open This car is unique and I really do like doing the shows but a bigger show causes me more chances to have a show go in the red and like any other business going in the red is not good. The show is in the black and very healthy so things are good. We do have three officers that most people are not aware of Me, my wife Chris and Richard Strecker along with the wonderful efforts of Gary Hull for the web page and the Video and bookwork help of Marc Levy. He also has contrubuted to the dunking tank fund. Like we say the show is your show. We welcome help and my feelings are if one person runs something long enough it gets old and outdated so change is ok but it will be to the benefit of all owners. DCS 2008 is almost planned and DCS 2010 is being looked at Help is appreciated Thanks for the support. Ken will continue to do this as long as there is a need and we all take advantage of it. Lets face it, thats why he started doing it. The DOA events were not filling a need and Ken stepped up to the plate! I also believe when the time comes (nothing great lasts forever) Ken will pass the event on to somebody that is capable. I really think the DOA had a good run and just got tired... no new blood (that was in control) to carry on the torch. Thats why the events and the magazine started changing... and I understand that.
