One concern I have is what if Ken (or his wife and family) ever decides that they do not want to do the Delorean car show any longer? Although the DeLorean Car Show is actually a club with membership, I am not aware of an election of officers and of course there has been only a smattering of help that various individuals have contributed to the event, it has really been a one man effort....Ken, and we all know what a great job he has done. But that really does not ensure longevity of the event. A national organization, like the DOA could do this or screw it up royally. I just want to be able to see the same DeLorean Car Show events going on ten years from now. If Ken is up to the task then he is the man! If he is growing weary of shouldering all of the work and financial risk I hope there can be a national organization, such as the DOA, that can step forward and learn from his success. Purchased 5501 while living in Washington DC - no local club. Transferred by 3M to St. Paul again no local club but, lots of conversations with Bruce Benson. Joined the DOA - After about 2 years questioned the price value of membership and discontinued. Transferred to AZ - had a local club. My personal opinion is with all the activity now in regional DeLorean clubs, multiple outstanding publications, access to information via the Internet and Ken's & DMCH shows what is the unique marketing position of the DOA going forward? Not trying to make a stance just asking a question. Again my .02 but I have received more from ownership by being apart of a local community of owners than any other experience save the DCS (could not make the DMCH show). Keep the money local, build a club and build the community. Thanks for the soapbox!
