Many nasty things were said by "officials" of the DOA about the DML, and generic Internet groups. They even went as far as to serve legal notice to James (who "owned" the DML at the time). I don't remember the exact reasons for the letter, but the archives probably have it all. I am glad the whole DOA/DML thing happened. IMHO, it motivated a lot of the great things we have now.
