[DML] Book: How to Build Horsepower

Hi.
Back with another question.

Has anyone read the book "How to Build Horsepower" by David Vizard? 
Since I am not exactly an automotive engineer, I don't know how much
of the theory will apply to the D.

What's your take on the book?  Is it applicable to the D since most of
what the book talks about is Chevy small block?
