As explained to me, State Farm underwriters claim that DeLoreans are difficult to repair and they have had problems with claims on these cars. They continue to grandfather those cars that were already covered, but as my D was a recent add-on they would only cover liability, and supposedly they only agreed to do the liability because I have been a customer for over 20 years. The fact that I had previously insured a Delorean with them did not matter.
